Encouraging sinners, servants, and sufferers with the friendship of God.
The story of Job’s suffering has challenged readers for millenia.
The biblical account honors Job and his story, and it highlights the compassionate friendship of God. For if suffering is aided by endurance, endurance by friendship, and friendship by compassion—then in the end, the truest friend of Job was God Himself.
“We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.”
Who we are.

We serve the church by leveraging our gifts and 20+ years of ministry experience in support of the well-being and flourishing of pastors, church planters, missionaries, and ministry leaders.
We understand the unique challenges of ministry. So we respect and tend to our fellow sinners, servants, and sufferers through the application of humble, skillful, informed, nuanced, and biblical care, encouragement, and referral.
We work to stay informed concerning a number of critical topics, including: debrief, third-culture kids (TCKs), trauma, abuse, healthy boundaries, conflict of interest, and more.
What we value.
-
We affirm and serve according to the historic, orthodox Christian faith as represented by the Apostles and Nicene creeds. We also affirm the doctrinal statement of the World Evangelical Alliance

The Lord’s ministry was marked by compassion towards people. God’s image bearers are of eternally greater significance than the policies and procedures of men. Though is never divorced from biblical discernment, we choose to lead with compassion.
Lam 3:21-23; Matt 9:13; 11:28-30; 12:7, 15-21; 1 Pet 3:8-12; Jas 5:10-11

We advocate for the Spirit-empowered identity of believers: God’s own image-bearers, children, handiworks, priests, and ambassadors. We promote Spirit-filled reliance upon God, which honors personal agency, faith, freedom, courage, and confidence.
-
The biblical gospel necessitates real humility, which helps us to relate rightly and compassionately with fellow sinners. Repentance is a critical marker of true humility and evidenced by ‘ownership’ of sin, joy in forgiveness, and character transformation.
-
All Christians are sent ones, be it across the street or across the world. Missionary intentionality is expressed by: faith, flexibility, learning, advocacy, courage, nuance, crossing divides, building bridges, shaking the dust from one’s feet, and more.

The Sabbath points to Jesus, to Him who has fulfilled every legal demand and requirement for righteousness. Period. And the spirit and command of the sabbath remains, that God’s people would rest in His completed works—the chief act of which is always faith. We encourage the cultivation of routines and traditions that promote rest in the completed works of Christ, by faith.
